- If you are set IC, you are allowed to inform another player, OOC, if they take an action against you that you do not like. This protects you against harmful or damaging actions, not against actions which are not directly harmful or damaging to the character. If there is a discussion needed, please discuss this in Page, and keep it between yourself and the other player involved.
- If you are involved in a scene, do not 'skip' with little or no IC poses or explanations. If you are upset with an activity taking place in the scene, take the time to calm yourself, explain the situation to the person running the Scene (in page), and pose out naturally if you must. Do not disrupt the scene.
- If you are in a TP because of someone else, and they leave, that is not an excuse for you to immediately leave as well. If you are present and involved, and want to leave to join the other person, pose it IC, and role play out the departure.
- Some people are playing evil characters. If you get caught up in their schemes, so be it. It happens. IC does not give you script immunity. If their actions are not directly harmful to the character, your IC flag does not protect you. If you are uncomfortable, you are allowed to discuss it with the player involved, but this does not give you carte blanch.
- If you are passing through a room, please pose through. If your character is moving from point A to point B, you're considered IC and thus should pose as such (and can, in fact, be 'interrupted' in your travels). If you are supposed to be someplace and you're not there, request a teleport -- but this should only be used if the character is actually at a place.
Characters do not go into heat. A female has an estrus cycle every 28 days. Pregnancy lasts for roughly nine months. Furries give birth to live young. Beyond that, there are some conditions which can stand out, but such things are cosmetic (such as barbs, knots, and other physical characteristics). Females will have two breasts.
Animus have subtle animal characteristics, while Bestia are allowed the full range of animal characteristics. For example, a feline animus may have sharp fingernails, but a feline bestia can have retractable claws. An avian animus will not have wings, but may have feathers along the arms, while an avian bestia's arms will be shaped to allow flight. No normal characters have six limbs (wings on the back) - such things require special allowance.
Gestation is about 9 months. A person can not shape shift while pregnant (using the Transform Power) during this period as it will kill the child. Using other shape shifting methods runs the very serious risk of killing or damaging the child unless extreme precautions are taken (which will usually require a Medicine roll, difficulty equal to how many months it has been).
A child must grow and age naturally. Using magic to speed up pregnancy will very likely result in a dead child and a dead mother. Using magic to speed up a child's growth results in a large person with a child's mind, since it does not provide memories and experiences. Installing memories and experiences will usually result in a damaged person with a stunted personality.
In short: If your character gets pregnant, go the 9 months to give birth. Let the child grow at a normal rate. Don't mess with the child's growth and learning using magic.
Moving anything into the past creates a divergent timeline for the object moved into the past. This timeline is considered a separate Creation. Thus, a person moving five minutes into the past 'disappears' from this Creation (and doesn't show up in the present), leaving the person to go about their own course, separate from the Creation of their origin.
If an object is moved forward in time, it is possible to 'catch up to it'. This is not a problem. However, the object, if brought back to the present, may find itself on a divergent course from the future it saw. What was witnessed was one possible future, not the 'true future' for the Creation they are in.
Worse: Using magic or psionics to time travel can and will often result in the death of the mage depending on how far forward or backwards they go -- most travel through time completely forgets the idea of 'space' as being a part of time travel, resulting in the traveller appearing drifting in space, with the world itself elsewhere in its orbit around the sun (or, drifting lost in the aether between realms, in the case of Kith Kanaan).
A scene will not be ret-conned except for under specific conditions:
- The event was played out because of OOC information that should not have been used. If the information can be explained through alternative methods however, this should be considered the first alternative over a ret-con.
- The event conflicts with the AUP. If the scene was in conflict with the AUP, it may be ret-conned.
- For lesser-impact scenes, a personal ret-con can be invoked if there is legitimate cause for it (emotional impact too much for a player, or it extends beyond personal comfort zones). This kind of ret-con requires the approval of all players involved.
For the record, unless #1 or #2 is invoked, a public scene is very unlikely to be approved for ret-con by staff. In most circumstances, the standing rule is 'no ret-cons'.
