Elementals
A child from the elemental lords and ladies is a rare gift, and is often the result of a pact between a powerful sorcerer and the elemental courts. The nobles of Anansie treat such children as royalty, pampering them and giving them anything their heart desires. Most other cultures are unsure of what to make of such people, but the name given to them depends on their elemental parent. The children of the Dao are called Gnomes, and often have brown eyes and sandy hair and dark brown skin like mahogany. The children of the Djinn are called Sylphs, and usually have white or gold hair and yellow eyes and pale, white or yellow skin. The children of the Ifrit are called Salamanders, and usually show red hair and orange or red eyes and dark bronze or copper skin. The children of the Marid are called Undine, and usually have blue or green hair and eyes and purple skin. The children of Shades are called Shaitan and usually have grey or black hair and black eyes and skin.
